We've worked with PLM for Process for years and it takes years to become proficient in all areas. We know because we've done it. Implementation doesn't have to be sink or swim. This is often the approach because of tight budgets, too much wasted time during implementations, and not enough training. Resources are already busy and overworked the majority of the time so asking them to take on new software and continue to perform their existing tasks is tough.
The best training is experience. Instead of trying to cram years of experience and training into a few months we'd rather be there to assist in full adaptation of your new software. Post implementation we're there to answer questions, follow up on resources to ensure they're using the application correctly, and perform any changes that might not have been identified during an implementation.
